Georgia Domestic Violence Hotline

The Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (GCADV) is Georgia’s federally recognized domestic violence coalition, representing over 53 domestic violence organizations and programs across the state.

The Georgia domestic violence hotline is an extensive telephone routing system to Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) certified shelters. Calls to the hotline are automatically connected to the caller’s nearest certified shelter based on the caller’s telephone number exchange. Calls may be made 24 hours a day from anywhere in the state as well as from outside of Georgia from any phone line. Programs accepting calls have access to language interpreter services.

TMI Georgia

TMI-Georgia is a sex-ed app designed BY young people FOR young people…whether they are sexually active or not. TMI-Georgia wants you to have the info you need to avoid becoming a teen mom or teen dad. They also provide accurate information about birth control, STDs, and info about how and where to get health services you need.

The Center for Family Resources

The Center for Family Resources is a Cobb County-based organization that works exclusively to serve local families and individuals that are either homeless or in danger of becoming homeless.

Services Offered:

  • Multiple short-term housing programs
  • Life skills classes on topics such as budgeting, parenting, and identifying toxic relationships
  • A job lab to assist with career searching, resume writing, and interview coaching
  • GED prep program that provides one-on-one coaching and group classes
  • An on-site food pantry with fresh produce and breads, a wide variety of canned goods, and other essentials like diapers, infant formula, and personal hygiene items
  • Local mobile food distribution events for pre-registered clients in specified neighborhoods
  • Employee Assistance Program management for local companies
